Zoh Amba - tenor saxophone
Lex Korten - piano

Zoh Amba is a saxophonist and composer from Tennessee. Growing up in the mountains, she practiced in their forests, reaching for greater depths and soaring heights in sound, in heart. Blossoming a sound that joins creative music and devotional resonance. Amba new project Sun Ensemble, commissioned by Roulette, is a quartet of Lex Korten, Kanoa Mendenhall, and Miguel Marcel Russell. Amba's compositions for this ensemble—steeped in folk motifs, hypnotic refrains, and chant-like invocations—seeking to reach into listeners’ hearts.
